Back to Basics
As we work through our to-do list for our conference next week, we remind ourselves . . .
Heather - Yes, we both worked on this one. It can be fun.
We heard a great story about a group of college friends who each year got together on a retreat. One of them brought a Zentangle kit with her. They all watched the DVD. Then each one took a tile and put corner dots on it and passed it to the left. Then each person put on borders and again passed it to their left. (or it could have been right :-) Then each person drew a string and passed it on. Then each person drew a tangle and they repeated tangling and passing the tiles until all were finished and every hand had contributed to each completed Zentangle.
Everyone signed them and each person took one of the Zentangles home. What a great idea and wonderful memory making/remembering event!
Thanks Rick, I love that idea! Wonderful zentangle! I am appreciating, smiling, and waiting in anticipation for what comes next, I must remember to take a breathe!
I dont know how I am going to wait until October honestly, I am already jumping to come over nd immerse myself in this beautiful art! Love the passing to the left idea too!
Thanks for the reminder of the simplicity that is zentangle. With all the intricate and fabulous things that are possible with the zentangle process, it is good to remember the place of simple quite. See you soon.
is an easy-to-learn, relaxing, and fun way to create beautiful images by drawing structured patterns.
We believe that life is an art form and that the Zentangle method is an elegant metaphor for deliberate artistry in life.

Thanks Rick! That sounds like a wonderful idea. I think I will try that when my sister comes for a family function next weekend!
