These Zentangle quilts were about eight or nine inches on a side. On the square ones (and since a classic Zentangle has no obvious orientation) Pat had sewn a diagonal pocket in each corner on the back so they could hang in any direction with the aid of an inserted dowel. Nice touch, Pat!

What great designs...I love them. I am huge into stippling myself so seeing that incorporated with the tangle, awesome! In the areas of deep black and larger areas, were these apliqued?

oh, my, I have been quilting up a storm for the past 4 years, producing over 40 lap/twin bed size quilts...and I have struggled to master my own machine quilting techniques, without much luck.
To see someone go BEYOND machine quilting utilizing
zentangle patterns is REMARKABLE. These should be featured at the SPRING or FALL QUILT MARKET in the USA. The Fall Market is always in Texas, and the spring one rotates throughout the country at various large cities with good airports & convention centers. Pat is a fantastic quilter.

Beautiful little quilts, Pat! Did you machine embroider the Zentangle or drew them on the fabric first? I liked the way you machine quilt the background with white matching thread and it doesn't distract from the black line drawings. Beautiful Work!

These quilts are great! I've just begun to zentangle and I love it. It's a great take along. Thanks for the great idea. I never thought to applique with this design.
