One of our treats at CZT* training is a group Zentangle creation. Using a large sheet of our Zentangle paper, we draw a string that creates as many sections as there are students. Throughout our seminar each aspiring CZT picks a section and adds a tangle. We then mat and frame this beautiful creation, complete with Maria's lettering and handpainted border. Through a fun process, one new CZT gets to take this group Zentangle creation home.

I just love seeing 'new' tangle ideas in these collaborative pieces. It's also fun seeing the differences between each group effort over the four classes. Maybe you could show all four side by side?
ReplyDeleteOoh, yeah, I see some new things brewing in there too, Donna! Congrats to the lucky caretaker of this piece! How fun to take home this beautiful energetic imprint of all the new czts!
ReplyDeleteIt was a beautiful collaborative piece - thank you both for giving us the opportunity to participate in the creativeness of such a piece - it had great energy to it.. although it would have been happy to come home with me, I'm sure the CZT who took it home will treasure it. Hugs
ReplyDeleteI read about the new pattern... Fungees? Can someone from CZT #4 point out the general area on the collaborative piece that shows it?
ReplyDeleteHey Terri - there were actually quite a few new patterns devised - and they were all really good too ... Fungees is the pattern that looks like dropped bell shapes right above the No.4 (written on the bottom left hand side). It sure was a good pattern.
ReplyDeleteOn my blog, you can see photos showing the progress of the tangles.
ReplyDeleteGot it! I did look at the "growth" sequence too. It's such fun. While I am asking questions, how about a name for the pattern that's on the top of the piece, just about where "October" sits... two segments to the left of cadent...
