There's also no eraser for unbleaching laundry. However, there is a solution.
Lena ter Meulen sent these pictures along with this caption:
Zentangle's solution to Clorox damage on some favorite clothing.
We asked if we could use her pictures and name. She replied,
Rick and Maria,
Please feel free to use the pix, actually I would be honored! I absolutely LOVE Zentangle and am so inspired by your newsletters, it has opened a whole new area of art for me.
Thank you,
Lena
Thanks Lena for reminding us that even though you can't undo or erase something, you can often use it as an inspiration for something even more wonderful.
Best,
Rick and Maria

Simply wonderful! What once was "ruined" is now wearable art. I've not done this yet (bleach spots, yes, tangling them, no), but will give a try soon. Thanks for sharing, Lena!
ReplyDeleteLena - how cute and clever!
ReplyDeleteLena's laundry loveliness! Necessity may be the Mother of invention, but Zentangle is the Daughter.
ReplyDeleteWhat type of pen and prepration does Ms Lena use to make the zentangle colour fast?
ReplyDeletejust exactly the question i was going to ask as well.
ReplyDeleteMicron pens say they are permanent, but some research found that you should set it by using a hot iron before washing the fabric (after you do your art work). Some people use a fine-point Sharpie pen. I, too, would like to hear what Lena used. Fabulous idea!
ReplyDeleteAnother oopertunity/happy accident! As you can tell, I'm reading this weeks' posts backwards, the way I read magazines(?) - who knows.
