On the fifth day of 3Zs
Bijou wrapped for me
Gold, glowing tipples . . .
Some marasu encircling,
Winsome bits of shattuck,
Fetching diva dancing,
And a tile full of tripoli!
Although Bijou insists on not being photographed, Alfie sensed that Bijou was a bit irked at being left out of the photo shoots. So we all talked with Bijou and (s)he consented to pose so that Maria could create a portrait.
Alfie arranged all the 3Z tiles we've done so far into a mosaic and he loves appreciating how they all fit together so beautifully.
-----+-----
Thank you all for continuing to play with these twelve days!
The hashtag for today's tile is: #5thdayof3zs
For tangling today's tipple, we used a brown Micron® 01 and a Metallic Gold GellyRoll®. We'll keep that tradition throughout the rest of the tiles when tangling tipple . . . just like in the song!
To see the guidelines for these 12 days, go here.
We will give out a prize for one randomly chosen poster of each day's tiles on the app and also for one randomly chosen commenter on each day's blog post. (We'll announce the winners shortly after the twelfth day.)
And here's tipple:
See you tomorrow!
Beautiful!

ReplyDeleteThat really warms (spices?)things up beautifully --- nice complement!
ReplyDeleteI am loving these triangle tiles!
ReplyDeleteSo many glorious possibilities! I haven't looked at the app yet to see all the golden tipples! (I won't say what my auto correct always changes tipple to, but this time it really made me laugh!)
ReplyDeletelove this one - so versatile
ReplyDeleteI've loved experimenting with gold on many tangles, whether a gold gelly or when truly adventurous, gold leaf, it truly adds a wonderful dimension to tangles!

ReplyDeleteAnother great mosaic
ReplyDeleteLove the use if brown and gold with tipple!!
ReplyDeleteI am having so much fun doing these 12 days, but I cannot get the app on my tablet,(the app is not compatible with my version) so I also cannot see what others do on the mosaic.
ReplyDeleteAwesome! Tipple is one that I use a lot! Love the adding of gold color! You have two great helpers too! Thank you.
ReplyDeleteWow the gold really added pizzazz to that tipple! Great idea- thanks for continuing this holiday tradition and bringing this daily dose of beauty to our days.
ReplyDeleteVery beautiful! Where could someone buy a book like the one pictured with the gold leaf edges?
ReplyDeleteI like how this is building and building and the addition of tipple is sweet !

APRIL BLACK: It is a very old book that has been in the family. SO you would inherit it or buy it in an antique book shop. It is 10" x 12" and about 4- 5 inches thick. It is not blank. Maria
ReplyDeleteThey just get better and better. It is like opening an advent calendar. It is so hard to wait to see what the next one will look like! Thanks for sharing...
ReplyDeleteI love Alfie's shadow holding Bijou. Even if (s)he doesn't want to be seen, (s)he is lovingly held and supported by everyone in this community. Beautiful necklace, by the way.
ReplyDeletegreat idea for day 5.
ReplyDeleteLove it! πππ
ReplyDeleteTipple really shows the benefits of slowing down. If I rush it there's load of little tags and it looks a mess. Slower, and it becomes something quite elegant. Although in brown ink I couldn't stop thinking of bubbly chocolate!
ReplyDeleteI love gold tipple!!!
ReplyDeleteThe days are passing too quickly. 12 days is just not enough of 3Zs.
ReplyDeleteLove tipple and the gold just makes it glow. The way the tiles fit together is really interesting and could also be done as "ing" I would think.
ReplyDeleteI love the gold mixed in with the black and white. So pretty. I'm excited to see what the mosaic will look like on the 12th day.
ReplyDeleteThe gold glowing tipples are gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteCIRCLES ARE MY FAVOURITE! THEY FIND THEIR WAY INTO EVERYTHING!
ReplyDeleteKIM MASTROMARTINO
Nice to see your portrait Bijou, c'est magnifique! Aloes, that's about what I can manage written..........
ReplyDeleteYou do bring your own inimitable character to bear on proceedings Bijou & great that you & Alfie are having such fun with these new tiles. Tipple adorned, who'd have thought such a small simple something could have such an impact - a bit like you Bijou, eh? Not to say that you're simple.......... think I'll go dig myself another hole somewhere else......... (that I think is an English turn of phrase)
I just love this! How much fun! And what an elegant job Bijou has done.
ReplyDeleteThe golden rings really make it pop. This is so fun, and I'm already singing the tangly version of the song.
ReplyDeleteLonging to do the next tangle!
ReplyDeleteTipple with metallic color is lovely! :)
ReplyDeleteTipple with metallic color is lovely! :)
ReplyDeleteTipple, what would I do without you?
ReplyDeleteSo beautiful with the color added. OMGoodness.......!
ReplyDeleteWow! Love this! So gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteTipple looks so pretty in gold. I love the way Alfie is arranging the tiles.
ReplyDeleteGold tipple!
ReplyDeleteNot one I tend to think of as its own tangle. It usually finds its way into other tangles.
