Spiral Love

SPIRAL n. a curve or a plane that winds around a fixed center point at a continuously increasing distance from the point. (wikipedia) See also: helix, corkscrew, curl, twist, gyre, whorl, scroll.

These "creatures" are just too much fun!

It's like starting a Zentangle tile with great music playing (the kind you just have to start dancing even if you're sitting down), or watching some cool fireworks, walking into the middle of a great party.





  

I found you can stuff them with just about any delicious tangle, though I have not tried them all, yet.







 

But, perhaps I will.

Try it. You might just find a little love in there somewhere!  :-)

Materials used:
  • Wooden heart (2.25 x 1.5 x 0.25 inches)
  • Pigma® Micron® 01
  • Pencil
  • Mod Podge® varnish

    It is nice to be reminded of the simplicity of Zentangle. We (I) seem to be so intent on learning new patterns, when all we need to do is work with what we already know and grow more tangles from the old familiar patterns. Sorta like comfort food.

    I have taken the step of getting a sketch pad (acid free paper, spiral bound)and a Sakura pigma micron pen. Now I am almost paralyzed with anxiety and fear. I wish that I was doing something less intimidating, like public speaking or going to the dentist. I don't know who to talk to about this, so I'm posting it here. How can I get past the terror of knowing that I'm going to do it wrong, and just get down to actually *doing* it wrong?
