Dear Rick and Maria...
My daughter and I just spent a week in NYC and left over 50 Zentangles in many fun places. The Zentangles added a new "footprint" to our trip. Thank heavens my traveling companion was younger than I am . . . and since I was the "mom" I made her do the climbing when we left our cards in "high" places!!
Thank you so much for your Zentangle wonderful boxes and ideas.
Sheryl
What fun! Thank you for sending those.

Yay, Sheryl! I sometimes leave one in the candy area by the checkout at the supermarket. I always wonder who might pick it up and where its little home might be now.
ReplyDeletewhat fun! wonder if any of the "finders" will get in touch here?
ReplyDeleteHave you heard of Geocaching? It is a treasure hunting game where you use a GPS to hide and seek containers with other participants in the activity. Geocaching.com
ReplyDeleteIt would be fun to include our Zentangle Tiles in these containers or perhaps to start our own Tangled geocach tubes and list the GPS locations for others to find.
Just another thought for your already busy lives
Guerrilla Zentangles - what a concept! Years ago we had a poet who randomly tacked up "Guerrilla Haiku" on trees along the roads in this region. No one knows who was responsible but everyone loved the BurmaShave-style poems and people still talk about it to this day. For those who saw your Zentangles, I'm sure you made their day!
ReplyDeleteHow cool is that! Random acts of kindness are good for everyone.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing that treat of an idea, it would be fun to follow and see the expressions on happy faces!
ReplyDeleteMaribeth you took the words out of my mouth - Guerrilla Zentangle!! LOVE it, what a cool idea!!! Guerilla art has such an amazing history, especially with women, and with the increasing interest in "women's art" (read: art and craft) this is a fantastic extention! And not just for girls!! LOVE IT. Did you leave any in art galleries??
ReplyDeleteGuerrilla Zentangle! I like the idea of leaving around what we have done with love! Great!
