So Much Fun!

We keep our dictionary on an old book stand. We use it often.

Recently, we moved it into a new room and it was in want of a fresh look.

Maria got some gesso, a couple Sakura® Pigma Graphic 1's and . . .

. . . had so much fun!

(All topped off with a few coats of polyurethane.)

I don't have enough words to explain how much I love your book stand.

That is very awesome. From the photos, it looks like it is inlaid with something like ivory, and maybe decorated with scrimshaw!

Now that is some fearless tangling! Wow. Inspires me to look past my preconceived notions of what I think things are, and let them be what they could be. I would have stopped myself by thinking I was messing with a beautiful antique bookstand. But your fearless ways have opened the door. Beautiful, Maria!
