Number Nine

We continue our delightful tradition of participating in Laura Harms' weekly challenges. This week's challenge introduces a new tangle Laura created, artoo.

Here are Maria's Zentangles with artoo.

Thanks again to Laura for creating and caretaking this fun space in which to tangle.

Wow - love the crescent moon ribbon in the second one - how fun is that!

These are just gorgeous. I particularly like the second... ribbons are clearly a theme this week. Fantastic! And those stems going 'through' the tile are very Mira Calligraphiae Monumenta... and very Maria too, of course!

Kit, we were just at the Getty museum in LA where the original "Mira" book resides...... It has really influenced my work ......We are (for the rest of you) speaking of a very small (5x7?) hand-made book of botanical illustrations and calligraphy. Worth the trip to LA. Maria

I love the first one – ARTOO bursting like spring… (okay, today winter came back to Hamburg :-/ ). Let´s say: All the power of life reaching out for obstacles to overcome and feeling the sun again…

Absolutely gorgeous Maria. I love how you've done a double sided ribbon with Artoo's stems tucked beneath a "slit". Lovely!
