We love this tangle!
- It is made up of only a few basic components . . . in this case just two.
- It isn't immediately obvious how to draw it.
- It is quite simple, even though its result appears complex
- It is fun to shade
- It can fill all types of spaces
- It is beautiful
- It is fun
- It's "curvy"

As I was sizing this last image in PhotoShop, I pressed the "wrong" combination of keys and this appeared:
I loved the woodcut trailing bubbles through water "mistake." A good example of another Zentangle theme, "There are no mistakes in Zentangle."
This is why we deliberately don't include an eraser in our Zentangle Kit and why our custom pencils have a gold cap instead of an eraser:

Wow, I thought I was in love with this tangle, but now seeing what Maria did I am over the moon! This is a great example of how something so simple can have so much feeling and depth. I love how turning the tile makes it feel so very different. AND I LOVE the Photoshop booboo. All of it is just plain joyous! Thank you!

Suzanne, it was a classic white tile that I tangled halfway then filled in with a rich black (a meditation in itself)... then went back with the jelly roll in white. I love going in and texturizing the backgrounds with bubbles or carefully drawn dots.... the white ink has a character all its own....acts totally differently that the black. If you go ever so lightly, the ink just flows out,,,then you can go back over some of them and make them more white for highlights. Such a fun technique. And this is a fun tangle...I did it just the way Tricia taught it, which gave it the magic of a really great tangle. ...unexspected and fun. Maria
