Nice shoes!

I thought I'd send you a photo of my recent zentangle creations. A dear friend of mine from Holland sent me these Dutch wooden shoes. Since they really don't have much practical use here in the US, I thought they definitely needed zentangles and to be displayed in my home! Thought you might enjoy seeing the results.

Tangled Head

Lacrosse is a popular sport. All three of our grandsons play it. Their mom sent us one of their heads to tangle.*

These pictures are of a lacrosse head which will be strung (!) and attached to a staff similar to this.

Ouch!

A dear friend (who shall remain anonymous!) injured her foot. As it heals, she wears an elastic ankle wrap.

We're not sure if it's healing any better with her Zentangle designed wrap, but it sure looks better!

Materials used: Ace™ brand elastic ankle wrap, Sakura® Pigma Micron 1 and Tylenol®.

We've found this ten-photo mobile to be great for displaying Zentangles.

One of our gnomes enjoys dangling one full of Zentangles over our dining room table.

Blog
Here's a great blog post on Zentangle by Michele at Checkerboard's eInvite blog. That one linked to another Michelle wrote about Maria's lettering. At first we weren't going to put it in here. Then we noticed that the pens were full of Zentangle patterns, like this one using crescent moon, purk and hints of knightsbridge.

Clock
"T" writes, "Hi Rick and Maria. A few months ago, I did a Zentangle with circles. I moved on and did not think much about it. Yesterday, my granddaughter (4 yrs old) was looking through my pad of Zentangles. She saw this one and commented that it "looks like a clock". And today, it is a clock! What fun!!"

Where's Zentangle?

Answer: Pretty much everywhere.

We took a walk this morning in midtown Manhattan. We introduced a Zentangle to a lion at New York City's Public Library.

Of course, the other lion wanted to see a Zentangle . . .

. . . and was reluctant to give it back.

We discovered that a Zentangle can hail a taxi . . .

Makes friends easily . . .

Likes the Empire State Building . . .

Is really good at finding new tangle inspirations . . .

Particularly this gem . . .

Recognizes familiar tangles like this mattress in a window covered with bales . . .

And is a bit of a rebel!
