Scrap Paper

Every kitchen needs a stash of scrap paper. We keep ours in a box on a kitchen window seat . . .

. . . and fill it with scraps from our local printer.

This box is from a dear friend's mom who gave us a bottle of wine in it. Maria tore the Zentangle insert to size and just stuck in place with double-sided tape - no varnish or anything.

Ohhhhhhhhh, great idea. There seems to be a 'new' tangle pattern on this box......... it's at the bottom left/center of the design, and sorta looks like a four-pointed star. (Being a quilter, we call that a 'friendship star'). Are there any 'lessons' on how to achieve this design????
Thanks!

Go to our website and go to our newsletter archive under the "What's New" tab. Take a look at the December 2007 newsletter. In that we describe our tangle "cadent" which I think is the one you mean.

It was inspired by the houndstooth weaving pattern and you can use either circles or squares to start.

We call it "cadent" as a play on words.
hound=canine
tooth=dental
canine/dental shortens to cadent

Get it? Like we've said, we have too much fun (or time).
